It’s now official—Jacob Fatu will face Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the upcoming WWE Backlash.
Jacob Fatu Takes Down Roman Reigns
During the main event segment of this week’s WWE Raw, Roman Reigns came out to talk, but he didn’t get far. Jacob Fatu interrupted him and made his intentions clear—he wants a title match, and he wants it now.
Fatu confidently said he didn’t need time to think. He directly challenged Reigns for the championship. He also mentioned that Solo Sikoa was the only one who helped him enter WWE, which didn’t sit well with Reigns.
Reigns replied that he was actually the one who approved Fatu’s entry into WWE. But before things could go further, Fatu attacked him using the “Tongan Death Grip” and left Reigns lying in the ring.
Even after the attack, Reigns grabbed a mic and accepted the challenge. The match is now officially set for Backlash.
Seth Rollins vs Bron Breakker Confirmed
The show opened with Seth Rollins addressing his recent issues with Bron Breakker.
Rollins told Breakker that he isn’t ready to be at the top in WWE. Breakker fired back, saying he only aligned himself with Rollins to get closer to Paul Heyman.
Rollins didn’t take that seriously but gave Breakker a chance to prove himself. He challenged him to a match at Backlash—and Breakker accepted, showing respect but also confidence.
Joe Hendry Debuts, Calls Out Logan Paul
Joe Hendry made his official Raw debut in a unique way—through a song. He announced that he had signed with Raw and even took a dig at Logan Paul, suggesting he should be fired.
Logan Paul didn’t like that at all and rushed to the ring. A fight broke out involving Austin Theory, but The Street Profits came to Hendry’s rescue.

Becky Lynch Retains Her Title
Becky Lynch defended her Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Iyo Sky in a strong match.
Although Iyo performed well, Becky managed to retain her title—with some help from Asuka.
After the match, it was announced that Iyo Sky will face Asuka at Backlash.
