WWE has officially announced a big change for WrestleMania week 2026. For the first time in years, NXT Stand & Deliver will not take place in the same city as WrestleMania. This move has surprised many fans because the event has traditionally been part of the massive WrestleMania weekend celebration. Let’s understand what this change means and why it matters.
NXT Stand & Deliver Gets Its Own Spotlight
Shawn Michaels, WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative, confirmed that NXT Stand & Deliver will be held at The Factory at The District in St. Louis on Saturday, April 4.
Usually, Stand & Deliver happens in the same host city as WrestleMania. But this year, WWE wants the NXT brand to stand on its own. This is the first time since 2021 that the event will not share the same city as WrestleMania.
Back in 2021, Stand & Deliver took place at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, while WrestleMania 37 was held in Tampa at Raymond James Stadium. Since then, both events have usually shared the same weekend atmosphere.
This change could mean WWE has bigger long-term plans for NXT as an independent touring brand.
Top Champions Set to Compete
This year’s card already looks strong. The event will feature major championship matches, including appearances from:
- Joe Hendry – NXT Champion
- Jacy Jayne – NXT Women’s Champion
- Myles Borne – NXT North American Champion
- Izzi Dame – NXT Women’s North American Champion
NXT Stand & Deliver has always been a platform where young stars prove they are ready for the main roster. Many superstars who shine at this event later move to Raw or SmackDown.
Past Stand & Deliver Success Stories
Last year’s main event featured:
- Oba Femi
- Trick Williams
- Je’Von Evans
They competed in a triple threat match for the NXT Championship. Today, all three have already moved to WWE’s main roster and are fighting for bigger opportunities.
On the women’s side, Stephanie Vaquer defended her NXT Women’s Championship in a fatal four-way match against:
- Giulia
- Jordynne Grace
- Jaida Parker
Now, one year later, Stephanie Vaquer is walking into WrestleMania 42 as the Women’s World Champion. She is set to defend her title against Liv Morgan, who won the 2026 Women’s Royal Rumble.
This clearly shows how important Stand & Deliver can be for a superstar’s future.
What Does This Change Mean for WWE?
Separating Stand & Deliver from WrestleMania weekend could have several benefits:
- NXT gets its own spotlight without being overshadowed by WrestleMania.
- More focus on young talent and fresh storylines.
- Opportunity to grow the NXT fanbase in different cities.
- Stronger ticket sales for a dedicated NXT event.
WrestleMania 42 will take place on April 18 and 19 in Las Vegas, Nevada, while Stand & Deliver happens earlier in St. Louis. This spacing gives both events room to breathe.
Ticket Information for Fans
Tickets for NXT Stand & Deliver 2026 will go on sale starting March 4 at 10 a.m. CT through Ticketmaster. There will also be a presale beginning March 3.
Additionally, Friday Night SmackDown will take place at Enterprise Center in St. Louis on April 3, giving fans a full WWE weekend experience in the city.
Which NXT Stars Will Shine This Year?
Every year, Stand & Deliver creates new breakout stars. The big question now is: who will steal the show in 2026? Will Joe Hendry continue his dominance? Can Jacy Jayne prove she is the future of the women’s division? Or will a surprise challenger step up?
NXT has always been WWE’s testing ground for future main-event talent. With the event now standing independently, expectations are even higher.
