Wrestling fans in New Jersey are in for something special this June. A brand-new charity wrestling event called Battle For The Brave: Showcase for Heroes is bringing together stars from AEW and TNA for a powerful cause.
Even better, The Hardys are officially set to headline the show. This event is not just about big matches — it is about supporting first responders and veterans who have given so much for the country.

The Hardys to Headline the Charity Event
The Hardys — consisting of Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy — will headline the show.
Maclin confirmed the news personally, sharing how surreal it felt to book one of the most legendary tag teams in wrestling history.
Matt Hardy also shared his excitement, saying that both he and Jeff are proud Americans and honoured to take part in an event that supports the men and women who protect the country.
Currently, The Hardys are the reigning TNA World Tag Team Champions, which makes their appearance even bigger for this charity show.
As for their opponents, fans will have to wait. Maclin teased that more announcements are coming soon.
How the Event Came Together
Interestingly, Battle For The Brave started from a simple idea.
Purrazzo revealed that she and Maclin have been connected with Tunnel to Towers for nearly two years. Last summer, she received a direct message from Josh Lentin, who runs Heroes Hockey, another event that supports the same charity.
After participating in that hockey fundraiser in New Jersey — their home state — the idea of hosting a wrestling show was casually discussed. What started as a fun conversation over drinks quickly turned into a serious plan.
From discussing dream matches to choosing venues, the concept took on a life of its own. Soon, they were officially promoting a full wrestling card.
More Big Announcements Expected
Maclin confirmed that The Hardys are just the beginning. With ticket sales launching soon, the organisers expect this to become one of the biggest independent wrestling events in the region this year.
They approached booking the event from a wrestler’s perspective — asking themselves how they would want to be featured on a show and then building the card accordingly.
Pre-sale tickets go live on February 19 at 10 AM ET, with general ticket sales starting February 20. Fans can email [email protected] to get insider access for pre-sale details.
About the Tunnel to Towers Foundation
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation was created after the tragedy of September 11, 2001. Its mission is to “do good” by:
- Providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star families
- Supporting families of fallen first responders
- Building specially adapted smart homes for injured veterans
- Working to end veteran homelessness
The organisation continues to honour the memory of 9/11 while actively helping families across the United States.
Why This Event Matters
Battle For The Brave is more than just another wrestling show. It represents the power of wrestling communities coming together for a greater cause. With The Hardys headlining and AEW and TNA stars supporting the event, this charity showcase already feels special.
For Maclin and Purrazzo, it is also personal. Hosting the event in their home state and supporting a foundation they truly believe in makes this a meaningful milestone in their careers.
