Elayna Black, previously known to WWE fans as Cora Jade, is officially back in the spotlight—and this time, she’s doing things on her own terms. After a quiet return to the independent wrestling scene, she has now signed a new deal with TNA Wrestling and is set to reintroduce herself in the Knockouts division.
Elayna Black Returns to TNA Wrestling
Following her WWE run from 2021 to 2025, Elayna Black was released from her contract and briefly returned to the indie scene. She competed in well-known promotions like Game Changer Wrestling and Black Label Pro, where she reminded fans of her grit and in-ring skill.
Now, Black is back in a major promotion. She made her TNA return on the January 15th debut episode of Impact on AMC, officially joining the Knockouts division. Fightful has confirmed that her new TNA contract is a one-year deal, and she’s expected to be a featured performer on the women’s roster.
First Match in Months Set for Impact
Elayna Black will wrestle her first match in TNA tomorrow night on Impact, marking her first bout since July of last year. Her opponent hasn’t been announced yet, making her return even more intriguing. Fans are eager to see how she’ll perform after months away from the ring and how she’ll fit into the current Knockouts landscape.
A Full-Circle Moment with TNA
In an interview on Busted Open Radio, Black shared that her wrestling journey actually began with TNA—her first live wrestling show was a TNA event around 2010. This return feels personal for her, and she made it clear that she’s hoping to stick around for the long haul.
Despite her young age, Black speaks with the maturity of someone who’s been through a lot in the industry. She seems focused, grounded, and more passionate than ever.
Hesitation Due to WWE-TNA Relationship
During the same interview, Black admitted that she was initially hesitant to join TNA due to its working relationship with WWE. After being released from WWE, she needed space to heal and rediscover her love for wrestling.
“I think obviously there’s a little bit of that, but more so in the beginning, I was hesitant about coming to TNA just because of how close the relationship was. I felt like I needed to distance myself, which I think was good, me taking that time off.”
She acknowledged that it’s natural to want to prove yourself after a release, but that’s not her priority anymore. She’s choosing to focus on having fun, rebuilding her confidence, and doing what she loves.
Is WWE Still in the Picture?
Although Black has no plans to return to WWE at the moment, she hasn’t ruled it out entirely. She pointed to stars like Chelsea Green and Matt Cardona, who returned to WWE in better positions after time away.
That said, her focus right now is entirely on TNA. She’s looking to make an impact (pun intended) and establish herself as a key player in the Knockouts division, not just for this year, but possibly beyond.
