Back when he was 15, Punk thought wrestling at 40 sounded ridiculous. Now, at 47, he still feels young and strong. He mentioned how legends like Ric Flair, Terry Funk, and even some luchadores kept wrestling into their 60s and 70s.
Still, Punk has a realistic view. He feels that 50 would be a good age to step away, if his body allows it. He added, “Knock on wood, if nothing else horrible happens.”
Looking Ahead to WrestleMania 42
Punk’s road to WrestleMania 42 is already shaping up to be exciting. The Elimination Chamber event, WWE’s final major show before WrestleMania, takes place in Punk’s hometown of Chicago. While his match for that night hasn’t been announced, he’s heavily featured in the promotions.
