The race to the AEW World Championship is heating up, and this week’s AEW Dynamite in Orlando is stacked with big matches, fresh challengers, and major momentum swings across the roster. With former world champions, rising stars, and bitter rivals all colliding, tonight’s show feels like an early statement for how 2026 could shape up in All Elite Wrestling.
From Kenny Omega’s long-awaited singles return to JetSpeed stepping into the spotlight, Dynamite is packed with stories that could change the title picture in a hurry.
Kenny Omega Returns to Singles Action
Kenny Omega is officially back in a singles match for the first time since All In Texas, where he dropped the AEW International Championship to Kazuchika Okada. After battling injuries and diverticulitis over the last few years, Omega has made it clear that his goal is to climb back to the very top of AEW.
Standing in his way tonight is Josh Alexander of the Don Callis Family. Alexander is not just another opponent. He is the man responsible for putting Omega’s longtime friend and tag partner Kota Ibushi out of action indefinitely.
Omega and Alexander have crossed paths in multi-man matches for months, but this is their first-ever singles encounter. With the Don Callis Family tormenting Omega since 2023, this match feels like a personal test. A win could kickstart Omega’s redemption arc, while a loss could stall his comeback before it truly begins.
JetSpeed Get Major Singles Opportunities
Last week on Collision, new AEW World Trios Champions were crowned when “Hangman” Adam Page teamed with JetSpeed to dethrone The Opps. Riding that momentum, both members of JetSpeed now have huge singles tests.
Kevin Knight goes one-on-one with former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland. On Collision, Strickland called Knight the future of AEW, but Knight fired back by saying he is also the present. That statement carried extra weight when Knight pinned Powerhouse Hobbs later that night to win trios gold.
Meanwhile, Mike Bailey, better known as “Speedball,” faces another former world champion in Samoa Joe. Joe is furious after losing the trios titles and has made Bailey his first target. This marks their first singles match ever, and it is a serious test of whether JetSpeed’s momentum can survive Joe’s brutality.
MJF Keeps the World Title Moving
Fresh off a successful title defence against Bandido, MJF has promised to be a fighting, travelling champion. He backed that up last week by defending the AEW World Championship at an independent show for Limitless Wrestling, then announcing that Alec Price and Jordan Oliver were officially All Elite.
Tonight, Price and Oliver make their AEW debut against the reigning AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR. It is a massive opportunity for the young duo, but also a brutal introduction to AEW’s tag team division.
Death Riders vs. Don Callis Family in a Street Fight
The rivalry between the Death Riders and the Don Callis Family continues to escalate. After a heated confrontation on Collision, Jon Moxley and his crew will be ready for violence tonight.
The Death Riders team up against Hechicero, Rocky Romero, and Lance Archer in a street fight. This is Moxley’s comfort zone, but the Don Callis Family continues to grow stronger and more dangerous. Expect chaos, weapons, and long-term consequences coming out of this one.
All Elite Women Take Centre Stage
The women’s division also has plenty at stake. With Penelope Ford cleared to compete, the Timeless Love Bombs finally collide with Penelope Ford and Megan Bayne. This rivalry has been brewing since Blood & Guts, and the winners will likely be next in line for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships currently held by Babes of Wrath.
In the world title picture, a new challenger has emerged. Thekla pinned AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander in a trios match at Dynamite Maximum Carnage. Statlander addressed the loss on Collision, stating she welcomes a title challenge at any time. Tonight, Thekla and the Triangle of Madness are expected to respond.
