During Monday Night Raw, commentator Michael Cole confirmed that Bronson Reed suffered a torn biceps in his Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match.
The match featured Reed against Jey Uso and El Grande Americano. Unfortunately, this was not a storyline injury. Reports suggest that Reed was genuinely hurt during the match and had to be pulled from upcoming plans immediately.
According to PWInsider’s Mike Johnson, Reed travelled straight to Birmingham, Alabama after Raw for medical evaluation. Surgery is expected to happen soon, if it has not already taken place.
At this moment, there is no official recovery timeline. However, a torn biceps typically keeps a superstar out for several months. That means Reed will miss Elimination Chamber and likely WrestleMania 42.
Original Plans for Elimination Chamber Changed
Interestingly, reports from WrestleVotes claim that Reed was originally scheduled to win the qualifying match. But once he got injured, the match finish had to be changed on the spot.
